Many things are upon us today: 

Passover, Easter, Gay marriage, Obama in the middle east.

Let's all do our damn thing, and join together for one big feast

I'll make the garlic yogurt dip, and maybe some brown rice penne.

I'll be toiling in the kitchen so long my back and arms will need some Ben-Gay

So I got a request for the people of the world,

Or at least the ones on the Barsh Report email list

At this poignant time of holidays and policy

Lets cherish everyone's right to peacefully exist

So whether you're:

The owner of a firm or flimsy wrist

A sexaholic, or have never been kissed

Clean and sober, or all-day pissed

Addicted to Mountain Dew, or you prefer Sierra Mist

Missing Tom Daschle's pretty face, or longing for Bill Frist

A Chopin devotee, or a lover of Franz Liszt 

A laissez-faire Mom/Dad, or rule your home with an iron fist

A reader of classic books, or use Cliff Notes to get the gist

A big "Alien" fan, or prefer "Gorillas in the Mist"

A lifelong pacifist 

Or inspired to go enlist

Let's be live and let live

And let the hate cease and desist

So, as to whats up in Barshland:

Palter Ego's new album "Id, Ego, Palter Ego" is done

Look out for the release soon, artwork is being worked on and looks fun.

I am writing music with a host of different artists, and revisiting some things that have been sitting around unused

It's a good time for old ideas and new perspectives to be fused.

I'm playing and working on some music with Mark Ballas from Dancing with the Stars

Performing Monday nights throughout the DWTS season at one of LA's secretive bars

Have a few shows coming up (as stated)

Some songs I've written for other artists have been/will soon be tracked, which makes me elated

The names will be able to be mentioned in due time

But as i've learned in this game, patience and humility are sublime

So I'm bout to sign iggity off for now
