Happy January/new year to all of you bros and lasses!

Since the last time, we've tipped both champagne and egg nog in our glasses

Gotten into situations that were sticky like molasses

Partied hard from Tallahassee all the way to Calabasas

One cool item of late 2009 my dears

The soul album i produced, Vosotros Presents: The Years

Was rated #6 R&B album of 2009 by Amazon.com

And #36 album of the year by music blog http://creamteam.tv

(Now that i finally have some credibility, i can take "sang karaoke at the senior prom"

Off of my CV)

For all you fans of The Years, or for anyone who wears clothes

You can pre-order a Years t-shirt below; could be a collector's item one day, who knows!

So, after all that holiday craziness, its back to normal for the masses:

Some of you are back in work, some in your next-semester classes

Some of you back on the road, with your freshly-bought bus passes

As for me, even at night, you know i'm still wearing sunglasses

Part for looks, and part to unconspicuously stare at girls' asses

Aah, and out of those asses such smelly gas passes

Cuz girls do #2 too, and while doing so read Jazziz

(nah thats just a Jazz musician's dream, they're mostly reading Cosmo

where they learn that girls have better sex in Stockholm than in Oslo)

Ok enough gross talk, lets get to the meat, take the fruit off the stalk:

Just returned from a vacation with my fam in mexico

At a secluded condo village, locked away like Plaxico

But unlike the former Giant, who's behind the bars in jail

We were stuck with a private beach, which just never did get stale

Luckily 'twas 80 degrees and sunny, not no rain nor hail

And Mom, Sy and me complemented each other well, like a co-ed Parrish/Bird/McHale

Now its back to work and boy is there some work to do

February NYC events surely are abrew

Im playing this sunday merely 2 days from this point

At a club in Williamsburg that has quickly become THE joint

Rose Live Music, with the trio i toured in October with

Music will be fresher than a newborn, but less painful than a Brith

Feb 20th i will lead a special project at Jazz Underground series (wow)

Taylor Eigsti and I will play 2 pianos, kicking fire like the O'leary's (cow)

Also in this month im playing a few cool sideman dates

at the Blue Note and the Sugar Bar, a place that no one hates

Also Jersey with some cool bands, and a Haiti benefit

At a spot called Delta's where the food and music is legit

Peep the schedj at this here link  http://www.barshmusic.com/calendar.html

March and april are quite busy, actually busy as hell

ill be in europe for 5 weeks with vocal star Robin McKelle

And as for May, after some delay, Jesse Palter and the Alter Ego will head to LA!

But you can bet a 5, or even a 10, that a couple more barsh reports will happen before then.

Aight homies and homie-ettes, before i give myself rhyme-induced tourettes,

Or over-rhyme your pets and make you take them to their vets,

This concludes the latest of the Barsh Report sets.

See each other soon, undoubtedly let's!!

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaarsh
